10.5-OUNCE WOODTONE BIG STRETCH / 12 EA

The Sashco Big Stretch is an acrylic latex caulk that stretches up to 500% of the original width for indoor and outdoor applications, such as filling or sealing gaps or cracks up to 2" wide in windows, doors, siding, vents, eaves, baseboards, and crown molding. It is paintable with latex and oil-based paints, stains, and primers. This caulk meets Federal Specification TT-S-00230C, and American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM) C-834 and C-920 standards.

Caulks and sealants are adhesive materials that fill and seal gaps and cracks to keep out water and air. Water-based acrylics can be painted, can be cleaned with water, and require less surface preparation than solvent- and silicone-based caulks and sealants. Water-based acrylic caulks and sealants have less of an odor than solvent- and silicone-based products. Solvent- and silicone-based caulks and sealants are generally more flexible than acrylics and can withstand more sunlight and temperature extremes. They require solvents to clean, are more difficult to remove than acrylics, and generally cannot be painted. Water-based acrylic caulks and sealants with added silicone offer a variety of features, depending on the specific formula.
